Prime Minister Imad Khamis underlined the key role of the working class in strengthening the steadfastness of the Syrian state against the terrorist war.
Khamis made his remarks during the second day of the 10th session of the General Federation of Trade Unions as the participants called for amending the Labor law, promoting service projects, increasing monthly salaries and wages and improving health services, in addition to settling temporary workers with annual contracts.
He said that the issue of temporary workers will be settled soon and the government is studying the possibility of increasing salaries and wages.
Khamis noted that the government has launched the development process and provided necessary requirements, adding that 14,500 facilities have restarted production and the agricultural sector has witnessed noticeable growth marked by the launch of 17 new projects in 2017 and raising the prices for purchasing crops from farmers.
