One hundred and three archeological pieces prepared for smuggling seized in Daraa countryside
Daraa Antiquities Department on Tuesday confiscated dozens of archeological pieces in al-Jeeza town in Daraa eastern countryside that were prepared for smuggling.
A reporter said that the Department seized 103 archeological pieces from one of the houses in al-Jeeza town, 20 km to the east of Daraa City, which were prepared for smuggling.
The reporter added that the confiscated archeological pieces include 75 basalt and marble stones, and 28 pottery pieces and all of them date back to the Roman era.
The confiscated archeological pieces are believed to be stolen from Bosra Archeological Museum when the terrorist organizations were controlling the town.
