President al-Assad in a cable to President Putin: We aspire that the two countries will realize further achievements in the New Year in combating terrorism and enhancing bilateral relations

President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday sent a congratulation cable to Russian President Vladimir Putin on the occasion of the New Year.

In his cable, President al-Assad conveyed heartfelt congratulations to President Putin and the Russian friendly people, wishing that the New Year will be full of success and progress for their country in all domains.

President al-Assad also expressed hope that the New Year will be a year in which the two countries, through the joint efforts, manage to realize further achievements in combating terrorism and continuing to enhance bilateral relations in all fields to serve the interest of the two friendly countries and peoples.
